Psytronik Software presents a debut C64 release from Stephan Katteneder with music by Saul Cross.  Stephan has put together two quality titles, the first of which is THE COFFEE BREAK SHOOTOUT, a slick twitch-shooter featuring gorgeously animated birds to shoot from the sky.  The second game in this twin-pack is TOTAL REFILL, A Tapper-esque pump 'n' run game where you play the role of a hapless bartender trying to keep thirsty patrons happy by supplying them with copious amounts of beer!

THE COFFEE BREAK SHOOTOUT!

While away your coffee breaks by blasting the birdies as they majestically flap their way across the screen in this fun target-shooter.  Line up your cross-hair sights and get your timing right - or the bird will mock you and fly away to survive another day.  Try to beat your last score before the timer - or your coffee break runs out!

The Coffee Break Shootout / Total Refill is a twin-pack of games for the Commodore 64. You can play the game in a C64 emulator (we recommend VICE) or you can port the game onto real C64 hardware if you have the resources to do so. The download file features the .d64 (disk version) and .tap (tape version) of both games + full game documentation.

UPDATE!  The download bundle now contains the new tape version of the game along with the original disk version - and I've slightly updated the instructions.txt file to include some info that was missing from the original release.

Harrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrd.  I couldn't get mouse to work on VICE.  Ive never emulated a mouse though so I'm probably not setting something correct.  And on Total Refill it seems one "pitcher" just fills one "glass."  That can't be right.   Pretty cool little games, though.  Sweet bass on that shootout tune, Mr. C.

yes, the pitcher and glass thing is right...nothing i could say to defend myself on this one. ;-)

mouse emulation setup differs on some vice versions...grab mouse events, and device on port one needs to be set to a 1351 mouse.

That should do it.

if mouse left (port one) is pressed on the title image, the game is set to mouse mode. cannot be changed in game. steve

Ahhh, alt-q's the ticket.  I made it to level 4!  Great game now!

Cool, did you beat the winter level too?  btw, if you play at the office and the boss is close, you can switch between sound and music and sound only with the commodore key. Works in total refill too. Great score! I am happy you like it.

Info about Total Refill!

I forgot to mention in the Scrolltext of the Game, that at least 9 Dollars have to be earned before one can get a new Barrel from the Storage.

(at least 2 Beers sold)

Thats the Price of a new one, and on every swap 9 Dollars are taken from the Score.

Unfortunately it is not mentioned in the Game instructions either.

My Mistake, not Psytroniks.

I hope this did not cause too much frustration...

Thank you, i am sorry.

Does Coffee Break shootout have light gun support?

No, only joystick in port 2 and mouse in port 1 is supported...
