STORY
The ancient holy island of Avalan, once home to the mysterious sky wizards, the creators of excalibruh, the great master sword.
An unholy Monk has swept onto the island, stealing all its holy relics and has shattered the master sword into pieces. The Monk has also enlisted a huge army of skilled soldiers ready to battle all who try to oppose him.
Find the pieces to the great sword Excalibruh and send the Monk packing back to his stinky old bedsit.
GAMEPLAY
Find the 44 pieces of the sword that are scattered around the island.
The final piece is protected by the Monk himself and can only be collected once the rest of the sword is in your possession.
Once the pieces are all collected the master sword will appear on the sword plinth in the centre of the island, only this sword can defeat the Monk.

** SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS **
Avalan is a game for the Commodore 64. You can play the game in an emulator (we recommend VICE for the C64), on a C64 Mini/Maxi or you can port the game onto the real hardware if you have the resources to do so. The download file features the .tap (tape), the .d64 (disk) and the .prg (program) versions of the game for the C64.

Here is our full Review: This is a very nice Action Adventure with great game idea and beautiful graphics. The game idea of being able to collect the enemy's weapon and then use it against him or other enemies is something we have never seen on the C64 before. The graphics are beautiful and have been designed with great attention to detail. The music is also very atmospheric. Unfortunately, there is a lack of variety, as the enemies are always the same and behave very stupidly, as they never move from the spot. There could have been a few more in the form of dragons or other enemies. This makes the game seem a bit monotonous in the long run. Nevertheless, we would definitely recommend buying it due to the unusual game principle. 👍
