A FREE HALLOWEEN GAME FOR THE COMMODORE 64!

STORY:

A cosmic cloud has shrouded the land in permanent darkness. Red death rains like blood. Monsters from beyond lurk in the shadows, spawning their evil offspring. Fight them with light and fire, find a sanctuary. Survive this unholy night.

GAMEPLAY:

The controls guide the player character, and a flashlight that illuminates the ground ahead. Press fire to use the gun. Gunfire will only strike an illuminated spot, or at close point-black range near the player character. If you let the monsters or their firepower hit the player character you will lose a life. A bonus life is awarded for every 10,000 points.

CONTROLS:

You control the player with joystick in port 2.

HINTS & TIPS:

Listen to the background noises that indicate a monster is nearby.

Important: if you get stuck behind a tree, move down and sideways to get away from it.

Be aware of small movements in the terrain.

All monsters can be shot, but it takes more hits to kill large monsters.

You can shoot monsters at close point-blank range, but it is very difficult.

Do not panic! Rushing blindly ahead will get you killed fast.

DARKLAND 2 is an enhanced SEUCK game for the Commodore 64. You can play the game in a C64 emulator (we recommend VICE) or you can port the game onto real C64 hardware if you have the resources to do so.

The download file features the .d64 (C64 disk version) and .tap (C64 tape version). The files included in the download have been tested on and work perfectly on the C64Mini/Maxi systems.
